A convening of legal experts, policy makers, and non-profit leaders to discuss the intersection of policy and human experiences of refugees
The Human Experience: Immigration Policy in North Texas is a community convening that brings together legal experts, policy makers, and non-profit leaders to discuss the intersection between policy and the real life human experiences of refugee and immigrant communities in North Texas. The panel discussion will center on the Human Experience: the challenges that families face while trying to resettle - the public education system, housing, barriers to accessing resources, job search process, fear of deportation and more. Additionally, the panelist will provide insights into recent policy developments such as Senate Bill 4, TPS termination, Public Charge fears, and sustainable ways local communities and organizations can continue to support immigrant and refugee populations in the Dallas Fort Worth area.
